15 years ago this week, July 31 of 2007, DevilDriver released their 3rd album THE LAST KIND WORDS, which was a pivotal moment in their career.

They were coming off tha good will of THE FURY OF OUR MAKER’S HAND which has distanced themselves from tha shadow of their self-titled debut and larger than life frontman, Dez Fafara, who had already enjoyed success in Coal Chamber.

Now it was DevilDriver’s turn establish what they were and would go on to be! Guitarist then-and-now Mike Spreitzer tells us about tha headspace going into it, conflicts during it, working with producer Jason Suecof, Ozzfest, & where The Last Kind Words falls into DevilDriver's canon today.
